Welcome,

My name is Krysta Edwards,

I am a freelance artist, working in many mediums.

I’ve worked in many art forms over the years. From Studying Animation and traditional art, to working as a Florist. (An incredible opportunity that changed the way I view compositions, colour palettes, textures, basically everything!)

Art has always been in my life, and I’ve continuously found avenues to make a comfortable living in some form from it.

With the birth of our second child, I found the need to be home and more flexible for our kids outweighed my love of the floral industry. So we decided to take a jump and designed a studio out of our home.

You’ll still find me helping out at the flower shop once in a while, but I’m eager to have a new work home (a little closer to home!).

I am excited to share my art, and give tips and tricks back to my fellow community.

I used to look back at the various forms of media I’ve worked in, and felt disorganized, or like it was strange that it never quite settled on one avenue. However I’ve realized that each and every medium that I’ve worked with has changed the way I think about art, and allowed me to expand into things I never would have otherwise experienced.

The most common notion I hear when people view a piece of art is “I could never do that”. Yet I’ve always found with the right tools, support, and confidence, ANYONE can. This has been a lifelong dream, I never thought would come true, but with help and support, here we are! I’m eager to continue to spread what others have poured into me, and help you realize how good it can feel to express yourself through your own art.

Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me a little better, I can’t wait to get to know you better in return.

I believe art, in it’s purest form is therapeutic. It should be shared and consumed without judgement or hesitation.

It’s my goal to make it approachable, and accessible to all, who may not otherwise have the opportunity,

Thank you for joining me on this first step, check back often to see what’s new! Ask questions, be kind, and let’s all continue to grow.
